Post 3: My Pets

 

Hello once again! Welcome to my third post.

This is such an interesting topic to talk about, at least for me. I used to be that kind of person that did not like animals and pets, I thought that they were annoying and a really complicated responsibility until Elio, Wakanda, Chiquito and Cleo appeared in my life.

The first that almost 3 years ago was Elio. My partner had always wanted to have a hedgehog and I thought they were cute too, so we bought him when he was 2 months old. I now know that it is kind of a bad thing to buy animals, but in 2019 we did not know that, so we bought Elio from a man who had a hedgehog breeder. I like to think that anyways we rescued him since it was in poorly conditions. 

Elio is a little moody and shy, he likes to be carried and caressed, but not on his face, tummy or ears. He spends most of the time in my partner’s house because he lives there, so he is a little needy with her, but I visit him frequently and I try to take him out of his cage to spend time with him, which is an important thing with hedgehog so he can get used to me.

Apart from Elio, I also have Wakanda, Chiquito and Cleo, my cats that live with my family in Coyhaique. We adopted the three of them during 2020. Wakanda and Chiquito were adopted from people that were giving them away and my dad found Cleo in the field where he lives in very poor conditions, so he took her to my house.

They are cute and loving, specially Chiquito. Wakanda is a little arrogant and indifferent, but also really spoilt and caring. Cleo is shy and sleepy, but she is more social now.

The 4 of them mean a lot to me, I really love and care them as much as I can and I really like to give them the best.
